Schütteln, abseihen und servieren: Kumbia Queers kommen im Sommer 2023 wieder nach Europa 2023 nach Europa, um ihr neues Album „Fiesteria“ zu präsentieren.

Die kraftvolle Band aus Buenos Aires kehrt nach Europa zurück, um uns mit ihrem Cocktail aus Cumbia, Rock und Hip-Hop zu verführen, mit kritischen und reflexiven Texten, die von Spaß, Liebe und deren Gegenteil handeln, und ihrer Leidenschaft für kreative Freizeitgestaltung und Tanz.
Sie präsentieren ihr neues Album „Fiesteria“, das der Cumbia treu bleibt, aber auch neue Wege beschreitet, die mehr elektronische Vibes und urbane Stile beinhalten.

Die Geschichte geht auf das Jahr 2007 zurück, als diese Musiker von der Punkrock-Szene gelangweilt waren und beschlossen, etwas völlig anderes zu machen: Cumbia. Was als reiner Spaß begann, führte schließlich zur Gründung von Kumbia Queers.
Sie beschreiben ihren Stil als 1000% Tropi Punk – eine wilde Mischung aus afrokubanischen und lateinamerikanischen Cumbia-Einflüssen, Queerness und Punk-Spirit. In einer Zeit, in der die Elektronik- und Weltmusikszene von New York bis Europa dabei ist, die Cumbia-Musik zu entdecken, interpretieren die Musiker lateinamerikanischen Herzschmerz und Machogehabe neu und bringen Spaß und Politik in ihrem eigenen wilden Stil zusammen.

The powerful band from Buenos Aires returns to Europe to seduce us with their cocktail of cumbia, rock, and hip hop, with critcal and refectve lyrics that talk about fun, love and it’s opposite, and their passion for creatve leisure and dance. They will present their new album „Fiesteria“ which remains loyal to the Cumbia, but also walks on new paths including more electronical vibes and urban styles.

The story goes back to the year 2007 where these musicians got bored of the punk rock scene, and decided to do something completely diferent: Cumbia. What started out as something just for fun, led eventually to the formaton of Kumbia Queers.
